Meet the Staff

Danese Tenzer  M.Sc.P.T., H.B.Sc.
Registered Physiotherapist

Danese Tenzer is the co-owner of Tenzer Primeau Health Group. She obtained an Honours degree in Biological Sciences.  She subsequently graduated from the University of Toronto in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, and again in 2005 with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy.  Danese has practiced primarily in out-patient orthopaedics, and has participated in numerous post- graduate continuing education courses including manual therapy, vestibular assessment and treatment, and sports injury management. She is certified to perform acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and is a certified  pelvi-perineal therapist trained in pelvic floor rehabilitation and incontinence.  Danese is also a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations.

Sarah Primeau, M.P. T., Doctor of Physical Therapy
Registered Physiotherapist

Sarah is the co-owner of Tenzer Primeau Health Group. She has earned both her Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Physical Therapy, and is continually participing her skills and knowledge in the field of rehabilitation through continuing education courses. Sarah is trained in acupuncture, manual therapy and many other areas.  She is a certified pelvi-perineal therapist trained in pelvic floor rehabilitation, incontinence and pain. Sarah is also a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations.

Carolyn Sivitter  
Registered Physiotherapist

Carolyn Sivitter graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy from the Royal Orthopedic School of Physiotherapy in Birmingham, England in 1987. She lived and worked in England until 1997 when she moved to Windsor, Ontario. She worked in Wyandotte, Michigan for the first two years of her life in North America before joining the staff of Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital in 2000. She moved to join The Tecumseh Physiotherapy Clinic in 2003, initially as a physiotherapist before becoming a co-owner in 2006 until February 2017.

Carolyn has a wealth of experience in the treatment of orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, work injuries, vestibular assessments and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation.

She licensed to perform acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada in 2007. She certified to teach Nordic Pole Walking in 2013, an activity she is keen to promote more in the future in the growing town of Tecumseh.

Carolyn is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Physiotherapy Associations. She holds a license to practice in both Ontario and Michigan.

Jessica Aversa, Doctor of Physical Therapy
Registered Physical Therapist

Jessica obtained an Honours degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor, and subsequently graduated from Wayne State University in 2011 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jessica is licensed to practice in both Canada and the USA, and has extensive experience working in the nationally recognized Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, and Henry Ford Health System.

Jessica is a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Jessica has continually advanced her skill and knowledge base through many continuing education courses including manual therapy techniques, temporomandibular joint dysfunction and orofacial pain, acupuncture and dry needling, and has completed her Kinesio Taping Certification.

Jessica is very excited to have recently transitioned to working in Ontario; she grew up in Essex County, and is very happy to be close to home.

Samantha Myers
Registered Physiotherapist

Samantha completed her undergrad degree with an honors in Kinesiology from Brock University and then later received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Queens University in 2016. She has taken many continuing education courses including acupuncture and dry needling, taping, cupping, manual therapy, concussion rehabilitation, and cardiovascular rehabilitation. Samantha uses a variety of these techniques along with individualized exercise prescription for increasing mobility and getting patients back to their everyday lifestyles. She works with a variety of patient populations with varying physical abilities. She enjoys staying active in her everyday life and promoting physical health in the community.   Samantha is a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, the Sport and Orthopedic Division  of the Canadian Physiotherapy association and is also a member of the Ontario Association of Physiotherapy.

Megan Snippe  
Office Manager

Megan completed her school placement at Essex Physical Therapy while taking the medical office administration program at St. Clair College, which she graduated from in August of 2016. Shortly after graduating, she was hired as the office manager of the Tecumseh Physiotherapy Clinic. Megan enjoys working in a clinic atmosphere and getting the opportunity to make a difference in people’s everyday lives by providing exceptional customer service. Along with her job as office manager, Megan is also a photographer and enjoys capturing life through the lens of her camera!

Carrie St. Pierre  
Office Administrator

Carrie graduated from the Medical Office Administration program at St.Clair College in 2010. She began working at the Tilbury site in June of 2010.  Carrie moved to the new Essex site in November of 2012 because she was raised in Essex and was eager to work with the people in her community. Carrie has personal experience with WSIB which has provided her with valuable insight into how the WSIB system works.

Christina Michos
Physiotherapist Assistant

Christina Michos graduated June of 2018 from the St. Clair college Occupational and Physiotherapy program.  She completed her last clinical hours at our physiotherapy location in Tecumseh. She is eager to continue learning and growing on her knowledge in our clinic. In her free time, she enjoys painting flowers and landscapes.

Melissa Darlington
Physiotherapist Assistant

Melissa is a resident of Wheatley, wife and mother of two children.  She graduated from Trios College in 2010 and completed her internship  at Tilbury Physical Therapy. Melissa was hired as a PT Assistant following completion of her schooling. She enjoys working with people of all ages and finds it very rewarding helping people regain function and mobility.

Helena Wieler
Physiotherapist Assistant/Office Administrator

Helena graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant course at Trios College in 2007. She began working at Tilbury Physical Therapy in September of 2008.  She has continued her education with the clinic and has enjoyed working in a diverse community.  Helena believes that prescription of the proper exercises can help improve an individual’s ability to complete activities of daily living, and help them to recover from injury and disease.

McKenzy Boow
Physiotherapist Assistant

McKenzy completed the Physiotherapy Assistant program in 2014.  She has taken numerous taping courses which include; KT1: Fundamental Concepts of the Kinesio Taping Method, KT2: Advanced Concepts and Corrective Techniques and KT3: Clinical Concepts and Advanced Whole Body.  McKenzy has been taping for 3 years and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.  She has a passion for health and helping others and is honoured to be part of the Tenzer Primeau Health Group.

Lexi Lawerance, BHk

Physiotherapist Assistant

Lexi has completed her degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor and has been working for the Tecumseh Physiotherapy Clinic for several years as a Physiotherapist Assistant. She hopes to continue her education in occupational therapy where she hopes to work with ill and injured individuals through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. Lexi is an alumnus to the University of Windsor Women’s Golf team and still enjoys playing the sport during her free time.

Mackenzie Medd, BHk

Physiotherapist Assistant

Before joining the Essex Physical Therapy team, Mackenzie completed her Bachelors in Human Kinetics, majoring in Honours Movement Science at the University of Windsor . From there, she received her diploma in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assisting from St. Clair College, graduating in June of 2018.

A few fun facts about Mackenzie…

  • I have two younger sisters and two dogs
  • I have dual citizenship with Canada and the U.S.A., as I was born in Port Huron, Michigan
  • I am allergic to band-aids,  hate mushrooms and am terrified of goats!

Mackenzie loves her job and loves working for the Tenzer Primeau Health Group. She states the clients and staff are all so wonderful, making for very enjoyable days work!

Cassandra Nevelizer Price
Registered Massage Therapist

Cassie graduated in June, 2008 from the massage therapy program at D’Arcy Lane Institute in London, Ontario.  Upon successful completion of her board exams and registration with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, she began working at Tilbury Physical Therapy in September, 2008. She married her husband December 3, 2011 and on November 26, 2012 they welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world.  They currently reside in Tilbury.  Cassie is certified in hot stone massage and has experience with pregnancy and infant massage. She loves her career choice and enjoys working with people of all ages and from different walks of life.

Jenna Boow
Registered Massage Therapist

Jenna graduated from the Canadian college of Health Science and Technology in 2013. She registered with the CMTO after completing her OSCE and MSQ board exams. Jenna’s goal is to help clients with their everyday chronic and acute muscle pain. She achieves this through helping clients better understand how their muscles function as well as their bodies during specific motions and activities. Jenna is certified in Esalen deep tissue massage which is aimed at realigning connective tissue, as well as feeling comfortable with long relaxing movements to help feel less painful. Jenna also specializes in deep tissue massage, dynamic taping, and trigger point therapy. She is also working on furthering her education in myofascial release.

Melissa Falls 
Registered Massage Therapist 

Melissa Falls has been a licensed massage therapist since 2004, she has maintained active membership in the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since then. Melissa joined Tecumseh Physiotherapy in October of 2012, she specializes in treatment oriented, pregnancy massage, has taken courses in Kinesotaping, medicupping and microcurrent point simulation.
